Long time no see!

I can't believe it's been almost a month since I've been on here. I've tried so hard to find time, but of course.... I've slacked off again. I'm going to have to make it my personal goal to get on here every other day :)

Here's a few cross stitch pillows I've been working on for each of the holidays. I'm trying to figure out little ways to spruce up my house with out having an over load of decorations I have to put up and take down every month.

Central Park by Moda

Here is one of Moda's newest lines called Central Park by Kate Spain. I'm extremely excited to get started on a new bed spread for my spare bed room with this layer cake. Too bad fabric doesn't grow on trees, the price of fabric just seems to be rising with everything else in this economy now :)

Origins by Moda

I couldn't be happier with the way my quilt turned out!! I decided to create the design as I went and had a ton of fun putting it together. I ended up using the Origins line from Moda. It ended up being my first quilt I did with the binding being cut in strips and not on the bias, it turned out just as well. I'm almost done with the binding on my fall quilt. I will post pictures as soon as I get it finished!

Here are a few of the latest items that I will be adding to my Etsy account!

Fun Projects

Well after a long lost friend hit me up about my blog, I finally decided to get on update it with everything I've been doing the past few months, so here we go!

Happy birthday to my little girl! My little angel turned one February 7th so I decided to be daring and make her cupcakes with flowers. They turned out pretty well I think, thanks to the boxed fondant frosting that Walmart carries.
My sister is expecting a little girl in May so I made her a receiving blanket. It was my first time ever sewing with Minky fabric and flannel together. It ended up so soft, I'm thinking about making a nice Minky blanket big enough for me :)

Easter is almost here! (I can't believe it). This year is just flying buy. I came across some pastel colored fat quarters and decided to cut them in to strips and sew them together. I also quilted the entire thing on my machine myself! With a quilting foot and a darning plate it ended up being a good learning experience for me. Can't wait to put it on the table I'm been trying to improve my sewing techniques with animals, so here are a few of the animals I've made. My little girl absolutely loves them! Let me know if you're interested and I can tell you where I got the patterns

New Moda Fabric

I'm couldn't be more excited that the holidays are over. Now I can spend some time quilting! I currently have two quilts being quilted as we speak and should have them up and posted early this next week. In the mean time I purchased two of Moda's newest charm packs "Max & Whiskers" and "Dilly Dally". Can't wait to crack them open and get started!
